I love this book. The photographs are mouth-watering and the recipes easy to follow, and best of all, really delicious. I have cooked several of the dishes in the book with no disasters, and the whole family have enjoyed them. Some of the portion sizes are a little large, but that's OK as you can freeze half for a later date. Provided you have access to a decent supermarket or wholefood shop you can get cooking and start feeling healthier straight away. You don't have to limit your intake of scrummy food just because you are on a programme of 'healthy eating'. I can recommend the No Bake Chocolate Cake, the Vanilla Granola Breakfast Trifle, the Duck Pancakes with Chutney and the Lemongrass Beef with Pak Choi to name but four. There are plenty of veggie recipes too. The explanation that accompanies each recipe about phyto-estrogens or vitamins/minerals is encouraging and helpful. Excellent!

This is truly a great book. I am 47 and am currently experiencing the menopause. A doctor friend of mine explained that there is no need to have to deal with any of the uncomfortable symptoms such as night-sweats, insomnia and mood swings, if you stick to a healthy diet high in phyto oestrogens. So I bought this book. it is full of delicicous recepies - tasty - but best of all, easy to cook and simple healthy ingredients. Thank you Ms Myers! Even my husband is enjoying the food (he says it should be called Great healthy Food for Men). The thing is as it is sensible, healthy but tasty food, then it is good for the whole family - not just menopausal women. My symptoms have gone and I have much more energy because of this book So if you want a simple, effective, easy way to deal with the menopause and a way to get healthier too - I really recommend this book.
