A good choice! July 30, 2010 Meridian 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A good dip-in book that provides conventional medical advice with more holistic / complementary advice. It gives an overview of the weird & wonderful things that happen to mind and body, and there are some useful recipes for foods/drinks to up your intake of tofu, calcium, etc.
Your change. Your choice April 25, 2010 Trishia Woods 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book really does let you make the choice of how to cope with the problems of going through the change. It is also very easy to read and understand. It explains that there is alternatives to HRT if you want or need them. I found it handy as these things where never talked about in my family and really didn't understand what symptoms I would have and how to cope with them. Like many women I can not have HRT and most doctors do not have time to explain all the alternatives.
would recommend to anyone wanting information to make choices August 31, 2009 Carol Koran (Cornwall) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
While suddenly entering the menopause and having no information on what to expect and getting conflicting advice from doctors, I found this book full of information and lots of choices so I now feel better informed on which questions I need to ask. It has also made the whole process feel more "natural".
Worth reading. May 26, 2009 R,Wakefield (Somerset. U.K.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book is excellent and I suggest you read it if you are approaching or experiencing your menapause. It was recommended to me by my Dr so as to research all the other possibilities before 'HRT'. I found it extremely useful, so glad that I read it and would recommend it.
So it's not all in my head! March 16, 2009 Mrs. CJ Stone (Dorset. United Kingdom) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
On a visit to my sister this weekend, I was telling her how I thought I was suffering peri-menopausal symptoms but wasn't sure that it wasn't just all in my head, (me being a person who panics at the drop of a hat). She gave me this book to borrow, wow! what a piece of kit.... Couldn't put it down, described everything in detail, the hows and whys and what to try, I'm buying my own book now! It will be so much easier to cope knowing what's happening and that it won't last forever. This is a recommended read for every woman.
